“In connection with the detention of Russian citizen Yulia Yuzik in Tehran, the Iranian ambassador was invited to the Foreign Ministry to quickly clarify the circumstances of the incident and ensure the rights of the Russian woman,” she wrote on Facebook.

Earlier, the Russian embassy stated that Yuzik did not inform the diplomatic mission about her arrival in Iran and about the seizure of a passport at the border.

Diplomats also informed that the Russian woman was arrested at the hotel where she stayed, while the Russian side was not notified about this.
