Following the decision on September 25, the Culture Committee issued the message that the Pride flag will be raised throughout October. But not all administrations have managed to, and in many places it is not even practically possible.
The decision was made with the following motivation: "Raising the flag is part of the cultural committee's long-term work to strengthen diversity and everyone's equal value".
But that's to promise a little too much, according to the head of cultural management.
- Since it is not possible to raise the rainbow flag outdoors, the cultural administration will in different ways use the flag at entrances and indoors in the way that works best in the various management activities, says Sten Bernhardsson, head of cultural management.
The administration will gradually make the flag visible.
