Several motorists had to slow down when the moose family crossed national highway 31/40 at Ekhagen. The first time they went over went well, but a short while after the reader movie seen in the clip above, they have probably returned and then an accident occurred.
"Unfortunately, one of the moose calves went bad," says Mikael Simmerborn at the Rescue Services in Jönköping. It was hit by a motorist and died at the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the passenger car and the accident caused no major traffic obstacles. One concern, however, is that the moose cow is now in the area and is worried about looking for his calf.
