A library card is the only thing required for you as a private person to borrow an e-book at the library. But for the municipalities it will be a cost and now it has hit the ceiling for some municipalities.
"After all, there is a cost for e-books that are downloaded, compared to a physical book that can be lent out several times," says Lina Holmér, library manager at Växjö.
In Växjö, because of the costs, there is a limit of three books per person per month, while other municipalities have chosen to resolve the financing in other ways. This shows a survey that SVT News has done.
