A man assaulted police with stabbings at the Paris police headquarters on Thursday (October 3rd) before being shot dead. According to our journalist Karim Hakiki, two policemen were killed, and at least one other is seriously injured.
The attack occurred inside the prefecture, which is in the heart of the capital, on the Ile de la Cité. The assailant would be a security assistant stationed at the police headquarters, reports Karim Hakiki.
The perimeter around the police headquarters was cordoned off and help was on site. Interior Minister Christophe Castaner is expected on the spot.
