It was Friday night on August 2 this year that a boy was found with severe head injuries after a person called the police. It was the suspected perpetrator who called the police himself at 22 on Friday and told him that he had done the deed. Police and ambulance were sent to Sollentuna north of Stockholm. The injured boy was taken by ambulance helicopter to hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Two days later, on Sunday afternoon, August 4, the detention hearing was held in Stockholm District Court. The boy was arrested on probable grounds for murder of a one-year-old boy in Sollentuna.

Seriously mentally disturbed

The Express writes that the suspect went through a minor mental examination which showed that a serious disorder can be suspected and that a larger investigation should be made. Even now, before the trial has been held, the suspect has also gone through the larger forensic psychiatric examination at the Helix facility in Huddinge. It shows that the suspected teenage boy is seriously mentally disturbed.

Accordingly, there are conditions to hand him over to forensic psychiatric care if he is sentenced in the upcoming trial, Expressen writes.
