Suspected of murder of his child - receives forensic psychiatric examination

Tuesday's detention hearing was held behind closed doors and the woman then admitted that she had caused the child's death - but believes she did not intend to harm or kill him.

The detention hearing was held in Halmstad District Court and during it it was decided that the woman should undergo a forensic psychiatric examination.

The purpose is to investigate whether the woman may have committed the act under severe mental disorder and, among other things, lacked the ability to understand the meaning of it.

The woman is now in custody on probable cause suspected of murder.
