RTL ends its collaboration with polemicist Eric Zemmour, but does not completely close the door of his programs, after the outcry sparked by his anti-immigration and anti-Islam speech, which led to the opening of an investigation for " public provocation to discrimination, hatred or violence ".

The polemicist, in a meeting organized by the relatives of the far-right MP Marion Maréchal, had on Saturday, in a violent speech, attacked immigrants "colonizers" and cited the writer Renaud Camus, theorist the "great replacement" of the white and Christian population by a Muslim immigrant population.

This speech led to the opening of an investigation by the Paris public prosecutor's office for "public provocation to discrimination, hatred or violence" and aroused many reactions in the political world, associations and in the media.

"The LDS office welcomes the fact that the management has (...) contacted Eric Zemmour to make his profound disagreement on both form and substance." While remaining very attached to the diversity of opinions, she has meant that his theses are incompatible with the spirit of the debates in which he participated on the air, and more broadly with the + Living together + which characterizes RTL, "greeted the society of journalists of the radio, in an internal message.

The news channel LCI (TF1 group) is also still caught up in the stirrings born of its decision to broadcast in full and live the speech Saturday

In a forum published by Le Monde, the journalist and former member of the CSA Mémona Hintermann-Afféjee, considered that "LCI failed in its mission for non-control of its antenna and must be sanctioned in an exemplary manner", for example in him withdrawing its authorization to issue.
