Answering a relevant question, Putin said that he believes that there is a connection between the situation in the Gulf region and the settlement in the SAR.
According to him, the confrontation between the largest and most influential countries of the region cannot but affect the whole complex of the situation in the Middle East, including the situation in Syria.
Putin added that he knows that Saudi Arabia and Iran want good and peace for the people of Syria.
“We urge, guided by this noble impulse, to do everything in order not to use the territory of Syria as a platform for confrontation,” he said.
Putin also proposed the creation of an international organization for the Persian Gulf with the participation of countries in the region, as well as Russia, the USA, the EU, India, China and other countries as observers.
