On the night of August 2 last year, three police officers fired 25 shots at Eric Torell. Three shots hit, two of which went into the back, one of which was deadly. But did the police act in so-called fancy emergency? And did the police officer who encountered Eric Torell's father shortly before the shooting death committed misconduct when planning the operation?

At 14.00 today we get the answer. The Stockholm District Court then announces its verdict and shortly thereafter there will be a press conference with the chief counsel Erik Lindberg.

Warned of dangerous man

The fatal intervention began with the police receiving testimony about an armed man in Vasastan. The armed man was, in fact, Eric Torell, who had escaped from home with a real-life toy weapon - described by the defense as a replica - in plastic.

At the police radio, at the same time, information was spread that an action was taken in the near future to an extremely dangerous man at almost the same address. These are some of the strange encounters that led up to the brief seconds when the police fired their service weapons and shot Eric Torell to death.
