The Paris Bourse ended sharply (-3.12%) on Wednesday, shaken by disappointing indicators in the United States that feed the anxiety of a breakdown of the American locomotive and a recession of the world economy .

The CAC 40 index lost 174.86 points to 5,422.77 points, in a volume of exchanges increased by 4.3 billion euros. The day before, it had already finished in sharp decline of 1.41%.

The Parisian coast, which had started on a slight decline, has gradually seen its losses increase.

"There is a crystallization of all fears", summarized with AFP Daniel Larrouturou, equity manager at Dôm Finance.

"The shock wave generated by yesterday's US manufacturing numbers continued today, adding a bad figure in the morning for retail sales in Hong Kong, which weighed heavily on luxury, then significant downward revisions to German growth by its major research institutes, "he detailed.

"The slowdown in private job creation in the United States in the afternoon has reinforced doubts about the strength of US growth, and to add to the gloom, the WTO has allowed Washington to impose taxes on European products ", the expert noted.

Manufacturing activity in the United States fell further in September to a 10-year low on Tuesday, while the private sector in the United States created 135,000 jobs in September less than the previous month and analysts' expectations, according to ADP's monthly survey released Wednesday.

In retaliation for aid granted to Airbus, the World Trade Organization on Wednesday authorized the United States to impose taxes on nearly 7.5 billion dollars (6.8 billion euros) of European goods per year, a decision immediately contested by the EU, which threatened to retaliate.

The thinning did not come from the UK, the market remains dubious against the plan of last chance proposed by the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, a few weeks from the deadline of October 31.

On the CAC 40 index, no value has escaped the red wave.

Cyclical stocks, the most sensitive to the economy, were hit hard, like ArcelorMittal (-6.21% to 11.95 euros) or Michelin (-3.26% to 98.92 euros) ).

Luxury has also suffered a lot. Kering fell by 3.87% to 436.10 euros and LVMH from 3.67% to 344 euros.

Airbus fell 2.04% to 114.36 euros, after the decision of the WTO.

Saint-Gobain fell 3.92% to 34.95 euros. The construction and distribution materials group announced Tuesday the finalization of the sale of the carpenter and window manufacturer K by K as part of a broader plan to tighten its portfolio.
