The Cardiff club said Wednesday it would appeal the decision by FIFA confirming that he had to pay the first installment of the transfer of Emiliano Sala, who died in a plane crash at the end of January, at FC Nantes.

"It seems that (Fifa) has made its decision on a particular point of the dispute without taking into account all the elements presented by Cardiff," said in a statement the Welsh club, which will go before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne not to pay immediately 6 of the 17 million euros of the transaction.
