This was announced during a press conference by the deputy director of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the Oncology Center Blokhin Georgy Mentkevich.

According to him, doctors feel full responsibility towards their patients.

“Therefore, we created a schedule of such (dismissal) that we are obliged to do everything in relation to those patients whom we started treatment,” he said.

Mentkevich also said that Igor Dolgopolov, MD, will oversee patients with whom oncologists began treatment until his dismissal becomes safe for patients.

Earlier, five doctors at the Blokhin Cancer Center wrote letters of resignation.
