The Twitter platform suffered a partial disruption in the service, resulting in complaints about frequent outages of micro-blogging users in Asia and Europe, as well as a host of problems occurring while viewing and viewing certain types of content.

The inability to post certain types of content on the site - such as surveys and media - is a major reported problem.

Otag Report, an outage monitoring site, received more than 4,000 reports on the incident worldwide, including Japan, Canada and India.

Although some users are still able to post text tweets, they say they are having problems, while others do not see the latest replies to their tweets.

Some users are able to see the latest responses from an older version of the Twitter app on iOS, but they are not able to see the responses through the web version on desktop computers.

Some Twitter users have also reported problems posting tweets within the Android operating system, and popular topics appear to be stuck.

Many users have recently been able to log in to Twitter, and the company has not made an official statement on the update.

"You may have a problem with Twitter, getting notifications, or seeing MSN (direct messaging)," the company said in a tweet. "We are currently working on fixing it and it should be back to normal soon."
