Berlin (dpa) - The planned CO2 price for heating and traffic in the coming years is long enough not to finance all climate protection projects of the Federal Government. The Ministry of Finance expects revenues of 18.8 billion euros by 2023, which would cover just over one third of the total cost of the planned climate package of 54.4 billion euros. Nevertheless, Finance Minister Olaf Scholz does not want to make new debts in the coming year. Today, the federal government wants to end its plans with a supplementary budget in the cabinet.
