The Egyptian Interior Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday, announcing the arrest of a person who posted posts that included the announcement of the sale of human organs using his personal account through a social networking site "Facebook".

The ministry said in a statement, through its page on the "Facebook", it is the General Directorate of Information Technology, monitored the incident, and a research team was formed that resulted in the perpetration of the incident a person with a secondary, and a resident of the police station Mallawi in Minya Governorate.

The ministry explained that after the legalization of procedures and coordination between the national security and public security sectors, and the Directorate of Minya Security, the accused was targeted and seized in his residence, and possessing the computer used to commit the incident, and examined for the presence of traces and evidence of the account and the participations referred to.

The Ministry pointed out that, in the face of the accused, he confessed to committing the incident, exploiting the circumstances of the patients and establishing and managing the account to attract those who wish to buy and sell their kidneys in exchange for material commissions.
