French stand-up star comedian and actress Claudia Tagbo offers an unexpected new album at the head of "Ghost", a musical inspired by Jerry Zucker's cult film and given for the first time in France. and in French on the Mogador stage.

After "The Lion King", "Mamma Mia ?!", "Sister Act", "Beauty and the Beast", "Cats", "Chicago", "Cabaret", "The Vampire Ball" and "Grease", Mogador continues his exploration in French of the repertoire of great Broadway musicals and the West End of London.

Awarded the 1991 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, the movie "Ghost", starring Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Patrick Swayze, is one of the most popular romantic dramas in cinema, with a recipe of more than 500 million dollars in the world and three million spectators in France.

Regularly broadcast on television, the story, both love story and thriller with a dose of supernatural, staged a young couple whose happiness is shattered by a murder.

Become a ghost after being killed in a fight, the hero (Patrick Swayze) who does not resolve to leave the love of his life, will try to get in touch with his companion (Demi Moore) since the afterlife through an extralucid (Whoopi Goldberg).

The movie as the musical is carried by the global hit "Unchained Melody", one of the most famous love songs, written and composed in 1955 by Americans Hy Zaret and Alex North.

Created in London in 2011, the musical "Ghost" has also met with success in the United States, Russia and Germany. Additional music is by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard who has worked with Mickael Jackson, Celine Dion and Elton John.

- Magic and truculence -

In the role of the extralucid created by Whoppi Goldberg, Claudia Tagbo delivers an equally truculent personal composition that allows her to gain the upper hand over the troupe of twenty actors, singers and dancers, accompanied by an orchestra of as many musicians led by chef Dominique Trottein. The amorous couple - Sam and Molly - is played by Grégory Benchenafi and Moniek Boersma.

In fifteen paintings served by impressive sets and special effects plunging the viewer to the heart of Brooklyn, the New York subway or the afterlife, the magic of the film is restored, including the erotic intensity of the cult scene where Molly and Sam knead the four-handed clay on a potter's wheel in the privacy of their loft.

"Of course, I knew the film and its magic. When I was chosen among other actresses after auditions, I was very touched," says AFP Claudia Tagbo, showing until January 31st. Actress and comedian like her, Claire Jaz will take over.

"I'm not trying to mimic Whoopi Goldberg, my reference is Jacqueline Maillan, I bring my own vision of the role of Oda Mae (the extralucid, Ed.). In troublemaking, I like to play, to sing and to dance, to gather all this in the service of a character is a chance that excites me, "adds the comedian, actress and TV columnist spotted by the Jamel Comedy Club in 2006, after several roles on television.

Directed by Fabrice Eboué, Claudia Tagbo has been successful in recent years with two one woman shows: "I never close the door to projects, whatever they are, comedy, stand-up or circus", estimates -she. "I do not have borders, it avoids being put in a box".
