A large number of wolves disappear every year due to illegal hunting. In some areas it is so extensive that the wolf has completely disappeared. Right now, several cases of suspected illegal hunting of wolves in Sweden are ongoing - but SVT's survey shows that extremely few are at risk of being sentenced. A few years ago, the wolf debate was hot in Värmland. Despite the fact that the wolf hunt now does not go away for the second year in a row, the tone is no longer as fierce between wolf opponents and wolf lovers today as it was a year ago. And in the silence, more and more wolves are disappearing from the forests of Warmland.
