Prosecuted since 2017 for money laundering and tax evasion, media magnate Nabil Karoui was placed in pre-trial detention on August 23, and all requests for release have been rejected until then.
Having come in second place in the first round of the anticipated presidential election, he will face next October 13 in the second round the lawyer Kaïs Saïed.
