The wolves have made several attacks on cattle, but most sheep farmers we have talked to do not want to stand in front of the camera. The wolf issue is sensitive and one is worried about becoming unfriendly with the animal rights activists.

The wolverine moves closer

Sheep farmer Johnny Nederman talks about the turmoil he and his colleagues are living with as the area moves closer and closer. He talks about his breeding sheep and that a wolf's grip would make him quit the business.

- We cannot have both open landscapes with animal husbandry and wolf. If I shut down, everything will grow again here, he says.

Don't understand the wolf hatred

Göran Toss is involved in the Nature Conservation Association in Östergötland. He does not understand the wolf hatred and thinks it would be horrible if the wolf was exterminated in the same way that now western Russia is cleared of the wolf. He believes in fencing instead, but sheep farmer Johnny Nederman believes that fencing is too expensive and that they still do not help.

We brought together Johnny Nederman and Göran Toss to let them discuss the issue.

See their meeting in the clip above.
