The mall has previously sold a gift card that can be used in the majority of the mall's stores. But on Monday, Ingka Centers, which owns Avion, announced that it had stopped selling the gift card.

- It is because Cashcom from which we buy the gift card has had problems paying our tenants, says Mia Eskilsson, who is the center manager at Ingka centers.

Right now, several of the stores at the Avion shopping center are not accepting the gift card because of this. But the center manager hopes that the problem will be solved by Ingka centers paying the debts that the gift card supplier has.

- We sign agreements with each chain and company. This is to ensure that the stores receive the gift certificate. If Cashcom then pays, they may pay to us instead.

"Can never guarantee that customers do not have to worry"

But that customers who already have a gift card do not have to worry, Mia Eskilsson cannot guarantee.

- You can never do that unfortunately. We really hope that customers do not have to worry. There are still 66 stores that receive the gift certificate.

In parallel, Ingka centers is investigating whether there will be a new supplier and believes that there will be a gift card in the future.

- But if Cashcom gets on, it is very possible that we will continue to work with them.
