The Swedish Tax Agency has carried out approximately 3200 workplace inspections aimed at three new industries, which last year began to be covered by the requirement to keep staffing staff.

After the checks, the authority points out, among other things, nail salons as a type of activity with greater deficiencies than many others.

Welcome the controls

Sari Romppanen Gustafsson, who runs a beauty salon, welcomes the checks, but thinks it is too easy to cheat despite the demand for personnel laying.

- I could write ten pieces in one day. I have never ever had control over wages or what they actually do here in my workplace, ”she says.

"Signal that something is not right"

According to Conny Svensson, national coordinator at the Swedish Tax Agency, what the authority can do when they visit workplaces is precisely to sue the people who work in the room against the tasks in the staff office.

- Of course, we detect cheating and manipulations with the staff leagues, but then it is a signal that something is not right and then we move on with it, he says.
