• Events: A man dies after being attacked by his Rottweiler dog in Coslada

None of the three potentially dangerous dogs of the man who died yesterday in Coslada attacked by one of his rottweilers was registered in the municipal registry that regulates the possession of this type of animals, nor in that of the Community of Madrid, have informed Efe sources of the City of Coslada.

Both the rottweiler that attacked the deceased and another of his potentially dangerous dogs had an identification microchip; not so the third, which had no subcutaneous microchip.

The animals were removed yesterday afternoon from the deceased's house, in Coberteras Street, by the Canine Unit of the Local Police of Coslada, and transferred to the Animal Protection Center of Mejorada del Campo.

The judge determined yesterday afternoon to carry out DNA tests on the dogs of the deceased to confirm which of them had been the cause of the mortal wounds .

Together with the three potentially dangerous dogs, the victim also had a greyhound in his home , which in his case was registered in the municipal animal registry of Coslada, as the municipal ordinance obliges all owners.

While registering a greyhound is a free procedure, the application for possession of a rottweiler requires a certificate of not having been previously sanctioned for serious or very serious infractions for possession of dangerous animals and a certificate of criminal record, in addition to the payment of a 70 euros fee.

Autopsy

The body of the deceased is today in the Coslada funeral home waiting for the autopsy, the same sources were informed Efe.

A neighbor of the deceased has assured EfeTV that he warned him of the danger of these dogs and the need to "educate them" since, "they did what they wanted", they even removed "the sandwich from the hand".

This man claims to have seen on some occasion how Miguel, who was "very good people", scolded them and the dogs "showed him his teeth", after which he alerted him that these animals, if left "in their own right, they are very clever "and they become" the owners, you'll see. "

According to the neighbor, "the big dog" which is the one that apparently "was thrown" to its owner, was given to him by a friend of Miguel "one or two years ago", while the other rottweiler was raised by him since childhood.

"I do not know what he could do to be thrown", although this dog was aggressive "with the people outside. He took it out with a muzzle and when he saw people pulled the chain" fiercely, according to this neighbor.

The man adds, citing the deceased's partner, that Miguel "touched the woman and the dog was thrown at him, and the other (dog) too", and that when she managed to remove a dog, "he threw the another ", and that" she has also been bitten in her arms ".

The neighbor, who like the victim resides in a humble low house on Coberteras Street, in the industrial estate of Coslada, believes that the rottweilers were vaccinated , since they are vaccinated by the same veterinarian who immunizes other dogs in the neighborhood.

He also believes that the victim had the animals "in condition, because two years ago he said he had to have insurance" and that he was worth a lot.
