Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said he believed Saudi Arabia was looking for peace and calm, noting that there was a willingness to make concessions and open files that were closed, while Iran announced that President Hassan Rouhani had received through a third country a message from Saudi Arabia.

The Iraqi prime minister said in an interview with Al Jazeera that will be broadcast later, that we must work to keep the specter of war from the region because the destruction and harm will affect everyone.

He believed there were many indications that no one wanted a war in the region except Israel.

Abdul-Mahdi told Al Jazeera that his visit to Saudi Arabia was to calm down, and that the resolution of the crisis in Yemen could be a key to the resolution of the Gulf crisis.

He stressed that all countries involved in the crisis in the Gulf, including America, talking about the negotiations and that Saudi Arabia and Iran are ready to negotiate.

He explained that talking about how to formulate ends to resolve the Gulf crisis will put us in a dead end.
