Every year, the World Cup runs in the barbershop song in the USA. A competition for choirs from all over the world where they perform a capella in four parts and where the harmonics give points.

Last weekend it was decided again in New Oreals where 36 choirs participated and the Swedish choir, consisting of 147 women took home the gold.

- We won big and got great response from the 8000-man audience, says Kerstin Brindbergs, choir member.

Music is life

She is one of two Upplanders who participated in the theme "Made in Sweden" where they performed Swedish hits throughout.

- This year, it was a bit special when the choir's founder would quit and we wanted to crown her by driving fully towards the gold, which we succeeded.

Kerstin Brindbergs herself has been in the Rönninge Show Chorus for three years and the song is her life.

- I go to Rönninge every week in the clock and scour to meet and sing with everyone, you float on clouds, she says.
