The cost per section is the highest among the authorities examined. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's "Talk about Climate" had about 2,400 plays on average.

- We're not really happy. We would like more people to listen to the pods to say it was effective. That's what made us choose not to move on right now anyway, says communications director Berit Oscarsson to Dagens Nyheter.

Has stopped production

Another authority that launched a podcast is the Swedish Institute, which in 2017 released the podium “Swedishness” and paid just over SEK 60,000 per section. When the pod was complete, it had about 2,000 listeners on average. Both authorities have now closed their podcast production.

For example, the Swedish Tax Agency and the National Agency for Education have podcasts, though with a lower cost per section produced.
