An alleged infidelity could unleash the crime of Meco for which Sergio SM, 29, and boyfriend of the roommate of the mortal victim, has been imprisoned since last August. Researchers have had access to messages that point to this hypothesis of love betrayal as the cause for which Miriam Vallejo, known as Mimi, was allegedly murdered of more than 40 stabs.
The young woman lost her life last Wednesday, January 16, when she walked with her dogs from Villanueva de la Torre (Guadalajara) towards the Madrid municipality of Meco. Under these messages, Miriam was able to enter the house and surprise Sergio with another woman who was not his girlfriend Celia and that triggered that the alleged criminal will end his life.
Miriam, the murdered young woman, shared a house with her friend Celia and her boyfriend , Sergio, who was from the beginning in the circle of suspects because of her proximity and due to injuries that she presented on her face that could have been the product of a Fight.
The investigation continued until seven months after the murder, the Civil Guard arrested Sergio , Celia's boyfriend, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.
Incriminating messages
On the same day of the arrest, Celia crosses revealing messages with the brother of the alleged criminal. Miriam's roommate explains that Sergio would have killed Mimi because she arrived home and surprised the defendant with another girl that was not her.
Specifically, Celia writes the following: «Apparently your brother was at home with the guy that dizzy on the couch and Miriam caught them. Apart from that I had also seen him use cocaine again. The story written on the mobile follows as follows: «He went out to look for her and took her by the back of her neck. And the gun is buried there in a burrow and the clothes burned. That is what I know so far.
The brother of the alleged murderer replies to Celia in this way: «Everything is a lie because of what the Civil Guard told us yesterday, the investigation is under summary secret, so unless you are being used to involve my brother, you would not have who knows nothing about it.
In that conversation, Celia also explains that that girl who was kissing Sergio would have left her sweatshirt in the house that the two young women and Sergio shared.
«Your brother has had something to do. I don't put my hand in the fire for him , I just want to die, ”Celia ends up telling Sergio's brother in this conversation on WhatsApp. These messages could shed light on why Sergio could have ended Miriam's life.
Playing with the console
However, the alleged criminal proclaimed his innocence and denied this point in his statement before the judge . He noted that on crime day he was talking to his brother when Miriam arrived home. Sergio told the judge that while talking with his brother he was playing with the video game console. He said Miriam was warm and took out his four dogs while he continued with the video game.
For the next hour and a half, Sergio continued to do the same until Celia arrived at his house, always according to his story. His girlfriend asked about Miriam and he told her that he had left with the dogs . Celia was worried since it had been an hour and a half and had not returned when it was normal for it to take at most 20 minutes.
A few minutes later, Celia looked out the window and saw on the horizon the blue flashes of the Civil Guard cars. As they approached, they were told that they had killed Miriam. She was shocked. He, not so much, according to those close to him. The next day, Sergio surprised everyone at the funeral home as he was too warm inside the room with his head covered by a hat and sunglasses. He also had a scratch on his nose and wounds on his hands. He explained that it was due to an accident at the job of a maintenance mechanic in a battery recycling company. He also clarified that he did not undo himself because he was continually going outside to smoke.
On the same day of the crime there was also another fact that did not go unnoticed by the Civil Guard to put the weight of the investigation on Sergio. Miriam was accompanied by her faithful pets , who did not attack her assailant because they knew him.
After Sergio's arrest, Celia herself wrote some messages on Facebook calling her boyfriend "psycho" and accusing him of being "a despicable being" whom she had trusted despite being one of the suspects.
On September 20, the Provincial Court of Madrid ratified the decision to keep Sergio in provisional detention for the death of Miriam Vallejo. In his brief, the judge points out that the evidence that exists against the detainee is "clear and patent."
Another of the elements that took Sergio to prison were the contradictions in his statements and the fact that several witnesses pointed out that the clothes he wore on the day of the crime have not yet been found.
In the attestation of the Civil Guard investigation there are also several witnesses who have dismantled some of the explanations given by Sergio about his injuries at work and about some rare movements he made the days after the crime.
Vicente Sánchez, Miriam's lawyer, wanted to make clear from the beginning that there is no evidence to conclude that the young woman had any relationship with Sergio and has shown her stupor about some published information about the murdered young woman's personal life.
