The accident happened last Friday when the man got a pill over him, according to police. He died shortly afterwards.
The facility in Kallebäck mainly produces radar systems and has around 1,200 employees.
"It is a lot of sadness and consternation that characterizes the workplace right now," Saab's press communicator Johan Öberg told GT.
