“We are talking about the fact that this will be the first digital census in Russia ... Our census takers will no longer go with paper census forms, which then still need to be scanned, entered into the database, they will already go with tablets,” RIA reports News words of the head of Rosstat Pavel Malkov.
He also said that during the census “big data” will be used: information from mobile operators, as well as administrative data from authorities. The results will be processed in the new digital analytical platform “Population”.
Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service said that the average age of a Russian resident was 40.02 years.
