The 29-year-old American Christian Taylor won his fourth world triple jump title with a 17.92m jump on Sunday in Doha.

After a hung and high-flying contest, the double Olympic champion beat his compatriot Will Claye (17.74 m) and the Burkinabe Hugues Fabrice Zango (17.66 m).

The American first approached the disaster after biting his first two tries, leaving his rival Claye to take the lead with a jump to 17.72 m. On her third attempt, Taylor made her mark at 17.42m before a fourth try at 17.86m and a final apse at 17.92m.

Sacred for the first time at the 2011 Worlds, Taylor has taken the last three world titles. Only that of 2013 escaped him (4th place). The American also has two Olympic titles (2012, 2016) to his fabulous record.
