The three members of the Board of Directors of Citizens in Vitoria, the only one that this party had in Álava, have announced on Saturday that they leave their positions to understand that the former party coordinator Javier Gómez has received an "unfair" treatment from the Orange formation direction.

Javier Gómez was dismissed from his position as secretary of Citizens Organization in the Basque Country for trying, according to the direction of the party, to "transfer affiliates" to the PP.

Yesterday Gomez presented his request to leave as an affiliate of the Orange Party before the national leadership of the party so that with this request processed electronically Gómez ceases to be also coordinator of Citizens in Álava.

The formation led by Albert Rivera dismissed Gomez with the argument that he was trying to make a "transfer of members" of Citizens to the PP, contrary to what was stated by Gomez himself, who assured that his cessation has occurred by trying to close with the PP Basque a constitutionalist coalition in the style of Navarra Suma, an argument that also defended the president of the popular Basques, Alfonso Alonso.

Today Gómez and other militants critical of the party have announced through a press release that the other three members of the Vitoria Board of Directors leave their positions to understand that "the behavior of the party with its coordinator has been unfair to years of effort and dedication".

Iñaki Sánchez, who was a candidate for the City Council of Vitoria in the last local elections, has ensured that Citizens are currently "captained by people who have completely lost their way, which makes their continuity in training unfeasible."

Gomez, meanwhile, has again asked Citizens to "reconsider" regarding the suitability of forming a coalition in Euskadi with the PP because "when the constitutionalists divide the nationalists multiply."

Sources of the direction of Citizens in Euskadi, on the other hand, have indicated to Efe that they are unaware that the resignation of all the members of the Board of Directors of Vitoria has taken place since they have not been informed of this decision, and have announced that " shortly "an assembly of militants will be called to elect a new leadership.

The president of the Basque PP explained on Thursday that Gomez has been the interlocutor of Citizens with whom the popular had negotiated and almost finalized an agreement to converge jointly to the elections of November 10 and blamed the president of the orange party, Albert Rivera, of "cease fulminately" for this reason the Basque leader for not having "political will" to form a coalition.
