All visitors' bags are checked and in plastic boxes everything from multi-tools and scissors to wine bottles and cava has ended up. A knife that got stuck in the control had a 15 cm long blade.

The checks are carried out to increase safety, according to the organizer.

- The bag checks are part of our safety work. For everyone's safety inside the Book Fair, one looks through the bags. More than that, we do not comment on what they are looking for. If you have something that you can't bring in, you can leave the bag in the closet and pick it up when you go home, says Frida Edman, fair manager at the Book Fair, to GP.
