The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has implemented two recreational projects on the shores of the capital for people with disabilities, in cooperation with private sector organizations, as part of the CSR initiatives.

The first project was to provide corridors on the beaches of Abu Dhabi, enabling groups of people with disabilities to reach the nearest distance from the sea, while the second project is to provide six floating chairs for people with disabilities, distributed on the beaches of Abu Dhabi, and suitable for all ages and sizes.

Khalaf Mohammed Al Nakkas, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility Department at the Community Services Department in Abu Dhabi Municipality, explained that the implementation of the two projects came after studying and surveying the opinion of a number of people concerned about their lack of recreation on the beaches. You can move on the sands of the sea, and they want to swim, hoping to implement projects to help them.

Al-Nakkas pointed out that one of the companies initiated the financing of the corridors project in Abu Dhabi beaches as part of their social responsibility. He explained that the floating chairs are renewed every year to be affected by the weather, provided by a company.

He revealed the municipality's proposal within the social responsibility projects, a proposed conceptual model for the project to provide games dedicated to the people of determination in residential gardens, indicating that the details will be announced later when adopted by a private sector company.

At its third session, the CSR Forum recently presented a proposed conceptual model for the walkways and bicycle paths project.
