American Christian Coleman became world champion in the 100m in 9 sec 76 Saturday in Doha (Qatar), a few weeks after escaping an anti-doping sanction for three breaches of its location obligations.

The 23-year-old sprinter, finally cleared on September 2 by the US Anti-Doping Agency (Usada), for a mistake of date, won in front of his compatriot and defending champion Justin Gatlin (9.89) and Canadian Andre De Grasse ( 9.90).
