The total number of 20 digits bearing the logo «Expo» at an auction of distinctive license plates organized by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, yesterday, 4.16 million dirhams, while the plate number L21 with the logo «Expo» highest sales value, where it sold for two million and 340 thousand AED

The 20-digit auction began with the sale of the X 1851 symbolizing the first year that the International Expo was held for the first time in London.

The number X 2000 was the highest value among the 20 figures after the number L21, where the value of 360 thousand dirhams, the number X 20000 was sold for 330 thousand dirhams, while the number V 2020 was sold for 222 thousand dirhams.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched 100 double, triple, four and five digit number plates for HIKLMNOPQRSTUVWXZ vehicles, of which 20 are for the first time and bear the expo symbol at a new auction.

Registration for the auction began on Sunday (22 September), and will start yesterday at 4:30 pm at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai. Registration was open to the participants through the TRA website www.rta.ae and the Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha.

The figures bearing the slogan «Expo» included both the figure of 1970, the year that saw the first UAE participation in the International Expo, and 2013, which saw the UAE win the right to host.

It is noteworthy that the sale of numbers in the auction is subject to the application of VAT of 5%. As a non-refundable subscription fee at the Customer Happiness Centers (Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, Deira). Payment can also be made by credit card on the website www.rta.ae.
