The mystery of the 359 bottles of liquor that disappeared from the dungeons of the Higher Police Headquarters of Aragon and that a Zaragoza judge investigates. Two years ago, the Police Theft Group carried out a police operation involving 2,061 bottles of alcoholic beverages in a store run by a Chinese citizen, who was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of theft and reception crimes.

Among the material seized were branded wines, Moët Chandon champagne, premium gins ( Citadelle and Bulldog ), as well as bottles of rum, whiskey and bourbon , among other drinks. All the required bottles were transferred to the dungeons of this Superior Police Headquarters, used as a warehouse due to their poor conditions to accommodate detainees.

Since September 2017, this stash of alcoholic beverages, valued at more than 30,000 euros, has remained in the police dungeons, until last September 26 an Aragonese Criminal court ordered the Police to take the bottles to the Decanato's warehouse in the City of Justice .

After knowing the transfer order, the Headquarters decided to make an inventory to check the number of bottles in the dungeons, discovering that the figure was 1,702 and not the 2,061 required two years ago. Following these facts, the magistrate holder of the Court of Instruction No. 6 of Zaragoza has opened proceedings to investigate the whereabouts of the missing bottles.

As published by Saturday the newspaper Heraldo de Aragón , on September 8 a police command gave the order that the bottles be transferred to the headquarters of General Mayandía, near the Headquarters, in order to free the dungeons in case it is It is necessary to use them next October, on the occasion of the Pilar festivities.

Apparently, according to an anonymous who was distributed the next day in different police units, said transfer was made in an unorthodox manner, which is also being investigated internally by the Aragon Police Headquarters itself.

The aforementioned anonymous indicated to a chief inspector that, by order of a commissioner, he had appeared in the headquarters of the Headquarters with a police officer of the basic scale and three civilians - at least two of Romanian nationality -, who put the bottles in a private van and then they were taken to the Mayandía barracks.

The investigation of the whereabouts of the 359 bottles is still open.
