Several new players and poor training conditions during winter and spring might have been an obstacle for the Umeå FC football team - instead it welded the squad together. Now the UFC is second in division one north and a place in the Superetta is within easy reach.

- I think the poor conditions helped to make the group stronger, says coach Magnus Henrysson.

- We have a very good group, we work hard for each other, says player Jens Stigedahl.

With six innings left to play, Umeå FC is second in division one in the north, which means qualifying for the Superettan. Series-leading Acropolis is within easy reach, but at the same time several teams are chasing from behind and Magnus Henrysson dares not charge anything in advance.

- It is probably somewhere in the back of the head, but we take a match at a distance and I try to say that all the time to both journalists and the players. We try to avoid talking longer than a week ahead, it's always the weekend's match that applies, he says.

In the clip above you hear Henrysson and Stigedahl discussing what an advancement would mean.
