It was during Thursday morning that a police patrol during an ongoing drug investigation conducted a house search in an apartment in central Gävle. Then they found an object they didn't know what it was. The object was photographed and the photograph was sent to the bomb squad of the National Operational Department NOA. The apartment was blocked off and the bomb squad came there.
The object was not rented in any way so the property did not need to be vacated.
Later in the evening, prosecutors made the decision to arrest four people, suspected of causing general destruction.
