Syrian Foreign Minister called US statements on chemical attacks a big lie

“A big lie,” said the Syrian minister, commenting on the statement by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the Syrian authorities allegedly used chemical weapons in Latakia on May 19.

On May 22, the UN stated that they could not independently confirm or deny information about the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria.

As stated in the State Department, Washington sees signs that Syrian authorities may "resume the use of chemical weapons."
