“A wide range of issues on the joint agenda was discussed. The ministers also discussed prospects for resolving the situation on the Korean Peninsula, in Afghanistan, around Ukraine, in the Middle East and North Africa and others, ”RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.
They noted that Lavrov pointed out to his colleague the unacceptability of US actions to deny Russian representatives visas for multilateral events within the UN.
Earlier, Lavrov and Pompeo began a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Their negotiations lasted a little less than an hour.
