Frankfurt / Main (AP) - The still not completely enlightened affair for the World Cup summer fairy tale 2006 has burdened the German Football Association so far with the record amount of around 30 million euros. In addition to 22.579 million euros in tax arrears in 2017, the Association "has raised more than seven million euros for legal fees," said DFB treasurer Stephan Osnabrügge at the Bundestag in Frankfurt. Since the tax audit for the years 2012 to 2014 is not yet completed, the DFB must also expect for this period "with significant additional payments".
