Earlier, China received a message from Russian leader Vladimir Putin with a proposal to introduce a moratorium on the deployment of medium and shorter-range missiles in Europe and other regions.
In August, Pentagon chief Mark Esper called for the early deployment of ground-based medium-range missiles in Asia after the United States withdrew from the INF Treaty.
He also said that the US does not support China’s desire for dominance in the Indo-Pacific region.
