The young Norwegian prodigy Jakob Ingebrigtsen was finally drafted for the 5,000m final after being disqualified in series at the World Athletics Championships in Doha on Friday.

The double European champion (1,500 and 5,000m), who finished 4th in his race won by Ethiopian Selemon Barega, was first disqualified by the jury for running on the grass inside the track .

But after a call from the Norwegian team, the jury decided to scout him because the three illegal supports of the Norwegian had been the result of "contact with another athlete" and he had not benefited from it. .

Jakob Ingebrigtsen, also in 1,500m in Doha, qualified for his first world final just days after celebrating his 19th birthday. He joins his two big brothers Filip and Henrik, qualified during the second series.
