US-Japan Australia-India First Foreign Minister's Meeting Matched for Free and Open Indo-Pacific Realization September 27 8:51

The four foreign ministers' meetings of Japan, the United States, Australia, and India were held for the first time, and they agreed to work together to achieve a free and open Indo-Pacific.

In New York, the first meeting held on the night of Japan time was attended by Foreign Minister Mogi, US Secretary of State Pompeio, Australian Foreign Minister Payne, and Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar.

The meeting agreed to work together to realize a free and open Indo-Pacific based on the rule of law, with China in mind to strengthen the ocean advancement.

They also confirmed that they would cooperate in marine security, anti-terrorism measures, and cyber security to maintain an order based on the rules.

Prior to this, Minister Mogi talked with the US Secretary of State Pompeio for a short time and exchanged opinions on the growing situation in the Middle East.

Minister Mogi explained the diplomatic efforts such as the summit and foreign ministers talks with Iran and confirmed the close cooperation between Japan and the United States to alleviate tensions in the Middle East region.
