In Gotland, 85.1 percent of the nine graduated with high school qualifications. The national figures are at 84.3 per cent.

However, the difference in eligibility varies greatly between different student groups. Enrollment among students with highly educated parents is 17.1 percentage points higher than among students whose parents have shorter education. At the same time, the differences between boys and girls are decreasing, according to a press release from the National Agency for Education.

"Critical issues"

- The results confirm our picture of what needs to be done in Swedish schools. The lack of teachers, school segregation and governance at the local level are fate issues that must be addressed in order for even more students to succeed in school, says Peter Fredriksson, Director General of the National Agency for Education, in the press release.

Pupils born in Sweden are more qualified than pupils born abroad. The biggest difference is if the pupils have come to Sweden before regular school start compared to pupils who have come during school time.

For example, through the Swedish National Agency for Education's website it is possible to find figures for individual schools.
