Events took place in the Pskov, Ryazan, Tver and Moscow regions.

“The participants in the criminal organization, whose roles were clearly defined, were engaged in killings, extortion, harm to health, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition,” said investigators.

Among the most serious crimes are the murder in 2012 of deputy Sidorova and her three relatives for refusing to transfer land, as well as the attack in 2014 on an entrepreneur who refused to transfer part of the profits from illegal business activities, as a result of which the man died.

In July, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Oleg Shishkanov, a criminal authority suspected of kidnapping and murdering Sidorova, for two months.

URA.RU also reported that the leader of an organized criminal group that had committed more than 20 serious crimes from 1995 to 2003 was detained in the Moscow region.
