“Yesterday, the submarine, which performed tasks at sea for three weeks, moored, the crew rests at the Tartus base,” Interfax quoted Sergei Tronev, commander of the operational command in the far sea zone.

He added that the second submarine has replenished its reserves and is preparing to go to sea.

According to him, at the moment there are three combat boats and three support vessels of the Russian Navy in Tartus.

Earlier, on the roads of the Syrian port of Tartus, a parade of ships of the Russian Navy took place.

On April 20, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov announced that Moscow will lease the Syrian port of Tartus for 49 years.
