"If you take the curve too fast you go in the ditch"

SVT news Sörmland has met Bo Knutsson, who lives next to Route 223. He says he has seen motorists driving too fast in the curve outside his house and driving off the road.

"Number one should be to lower the speed from 70 to 50," he says.

But the Swedish Transport Administration believes that the speed is only a maximum level and that the motorist is expected to adapt to the curves.

- When we are building new, it is another matter, then we want the ambition to be able to have the same speed at dry roads, says Maria Krafft, traffic safety director at the Swedish Transport Administration.
