It was in February this year that the shooting took place. The man had been picking up his daughter at Uppsala Central Station when he arrived at his home. Once there, they saw an unknown person standing at the driveway to the house. The man then got out of the car and went towards the unknown person, who then picked up a weapon and shot.

Now, just over seven months after the murder, the police are going out with details of the murder. Among other things, a private person must have found a weapon that may be linked to the murder. A weapon found outdoors and then handed over to police.

"The weapon is of the same caliber with which the victim was shot, and other information that has emerged in the investigation makes it interesting," says Cecilia Winblad, head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Uppsala Police.

Was threatened shortly before the murder

Police also report an incident a few weeks before the murder. On January 30, the shooter must have been threatened with a gun at a pedestrian crossing near his residence. Police say they see a direct connection between the incident at the crossing and the later shooting where the man dies.

- In our survey we have been able to establish that there are possible motives and a possible cause for the murder - but we do not want to go into it right now, says Cecilia Winblad.

The police now want the public's help with any observations. Both from the murder scene and the crossing where the man was threatened a few weeks before the murder. In addition, you want to get in touch with a woman who was nearby when the man was murdered. She should have told another person that she saw a car escape from the scene. This woman has not been able to find the police and now you are anxious to get in touch with her.

- Right now we are in a very intensive investigation mode where we try to connect all puzzle pieces. Many people have been heard but now we are seeking more information from the public, says Cecilia Winblad.
