67-year-old Börje Alström criticized the home service in Lundby in Gothenburg after his diaper was taped together with paint tape by home service staff.

Municipal Council Elisabeth Lann (KD) participated in SVT News West on Wednesday. According to her, attending is among the most important in the home service where more work is needed.

- We can never prevent situations that arise completely, but if you can have a respectful attitude and dialogue, the situations will not be so omitted either, she says.

"Takes time to turn around"

How should Gothenburg Municipality climb from the bottom position it received in the National Board of Health and Welfare's survey?

- I think it takes time to turn around, because it's about the view of the home service and the feeling that people have before the home service, says Elisabet Lann (KD) and continues.

- I think the most effective solution is to give users the opportunity to opt out of home service staff that they are not happy with, but we are not there yet. We need the work on the Act on the Freedom of Choice Act (LOV).
